Riccadeli is one of the most amazing teachers I have ever had the pleasure of observing and working with.
Unfortunately for Wanaque that teacher retired at the end of the school year. We did get the best 3rd grade teacher in the school and she fought to put him in another program. The princilple either lied or didn't even know the system but I'm thinking absolutely lied because I had four different conversations with her about it. I spoke to the principal several times about how the would challenge my son and she assured me that he would be considered and placed in the gifted and talented program when she had the chance to review his gradess. My son came in with staight A's and scoring in the 98th percentile on the Tera Nova tests. Posted by a parent on Īfter six years of Montessouri we had high hopes in trying our local elementary school instead of going on to private school. I only hope that more parents come forward and changes are made for the sake of our children and for the future of this town. That to me is a huge safety issue for our children. The gym is falling apart and being held up by rolling mats and 2x4's. The school is in need of many improvements and upgrades the "parking lot" being one of the many issues and feel that money is being spent elsewhere. She approves of certain Cops harassing parents while dropping their children off at school or while picking them up. She is not personable at ALL! She doesn't care to hear what the parents have to say and never returns your emails or phone calls. According to state test scores, 58 of students are at least proficient in math and 72 in reading. It has 503 students in grades PK, K-8 with a student-teacher ratio of 10 to 1.

The Principal in my opinion is not fit to handle children. Wanaque Elementary School is a highly rated, public school located in WANAQUE, NJ. Here you can find information on the free and reduced lunch programs offered at the Wanaque School District.
A lot of great teachers have either chosen to retire or have been let go. I'm a grown adult now and unfortunately both my children attend Wanaque Elementary and its a big disappointment. I went to Wanaque Elementary School when I was a child and it was a great school then.
